About the Alca brand

Alca is a Czech family-owned company with a long-standing tradition, founded by Radka Prokopová and František Fabičovic in 1998 under its original name Alcaplast. Initially, the company focused on manufacturing inlet and outlet valves, but over time production expanded to include siphons and toilet seats. 

In 2001, Alca received a Gold Medal at the Brno trade fair for its dual-flush valve. That same year, the first Alca installation modules were tested, which found application in both Czech and international projects the following year. The company has never been afraid of challenges, which was also demonstrated in 2005 when it began producing its first stainless-steel shower channels.

Today, Alca has 11 subsidiaries abroad and supplies its products to more than 70 countries worldwide. Its rapid international expansion is driven by high-quality workmanship, attractive design, and a team of trained professionals.

The company’s products are used in new constructions as well as renovations. In our wide product range you will also find concealed installation systems, flush plates, siphons, toilet seats, and drainage channels.

First-class quality

Before an Alca product leaves the plant in Břeclav, it is carefully tested and strictly inspected. Alca develops all its products in accordance with applicable standards and tests them at every stage of development. It also emphasizes high-quality materials and precise manufacturing. The quality of Alca products is confirmed by DNV and ITC certifications.

Professional installation

High-quality products go hand in hand with professional installation. For this reason, the company founded the Alca Academy training center in Břeclav in 2009. This initiative earned the Business Project of the Year 2010 award the following year.

Training continues through online seminars and involves not only installers but also secondary schools and vocational institutions.

Premium design

The company also pays great attention to product design, which goes hand in hand with functionality and quality workmanship. Several of its product series have received prestigious awards.

Innovation

Alca is a pioneer of new technologies in the field of concealed installation systems and shower channels. It presents its innovations at numerous trade fairs in Russia, Germany, Paris, Belgium, as well as in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Ukraine. It also offers innovative solutions through a channel configurator, allowing customers to choose the ideal product for their bathroom from Alca’s wide range.

Awards received

The company received its first award in 2001 for its dual-flush valve. Another recognition, the Gaia Award, was received at The Big 5 trade fair in Dubai in 2014 for its unique ECOLOGY module.

The Red Dot Award 2014 in the Bathroom category was awarded to the FLAT flush plate series. The company also won the prestigious iF Design Award 2018, which evaluates not only design but also ecological solutions, functionality, and sustainability. This award was received by the innovative NIGHT LIGHT touchless button series.

Alca designers

Product design, development, and research at Alca are handled by a dedicated department that also collaborates externally with other designers. In cooperation with Czech designer Barbora Škorpilová, the award-winning NIGHT LIGHT touchless button series was created.
