Type of installation

A key factor is the type of wall in your bathroom. You will choose a different module for solid walls than for drywall partitions.

Modules for solid walls, such as brick, concrete, or block walls, usually do not have a self-supporting frame, because the surrounding wall provides support. They require only a very small space, which you enclose, so the resulting pre-wall structure is smaller than with drywall.

Modules for drywall partitions (so-called dry installation) have their own self-supporting metal frame that carries the entire load. This frame is adjustable, so you can set the WC at the desired height. Usually, a drywall WC module is slightly more expensive than a module designed for solid wall installation.
