Certified quality

Jika focuses on precise workmanship and long service life of its products. That is why all its products are certified according to ISO 9001, guaranteeing the highest level of quality. Jika monitors the quality of every single piece during assembly, starting from the entry of individual components into the production process.

Environmental protection

The company’s ISO 14001 certification proves that Jika consistently applies processes that are environmentally friendly. Ceramic products are 100% recyclable and can be returned to the production process in the form of granulate or used in other industrial sectors.

Modern technologies

Jika uses modern technologies in production – for example, semi-automated lines for faucet assembly with a capacity of up to 220,000 units per year. The quality department inspects all component deliveries using state-of-the-art equipment such as X-ray devices for measuring the thickness of individual layers of galvanized surfaces, profile projectors for measuring details of the smallest components, various gauges, and, last but not least, a salt chamber for simulating extreme conditions affecting the used materials.

Designers

Jika collaborates with the following well-known architects and designers.

Michal Janků – has been working with Laufen CZ, the owner of the Jika brand, since 1992. Throughout this time, he has been designing showroom interiors and exhibition displays at trade fairs not only for Laufen CZ and its affiliated groups in Switzerland, Spain, Russia, and other countries, but also for its customers. Between 2004 and 2008, he received several awards for the most attractive exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Recently, he has contributed to the design of many Jika collections, including bathroom furniture Cubito, Lyra Plus furniture, the complete bathroom series Tigo, and new ceramic products for the Mio series.

Peter Wirz – created the first models of the Mio series as a designer at the Swiss studio Process Product Design. The Mio ceramics feature a compact design while also meeting the specific needs of people with disabilities. Wirz also redesigned the best-selling Lyra series and created the Lyra Plus collection.

Petr Kubík – a respected and talented designer, won the Czech round of the international Jump the Gap competition and reached the finals with his design of a relaxation bathtub. Based on this success, Jika offered him collaboration on the development of a new Mio series, further defining the Jika brand.
