About the Simplehuman Brand
The Simplehuman brand offers innovative products designed for efficient use in every household. Its history dates back to 2000, when innovator Frank Yang founded the company Canworks. His initial goal was to create a highly hygienic trash can that could be opened without touching it. He realized this idea, and thanks to the innovative design and functionality of sensor trash cans, he achieved success at the very first trade show where he presented the product.
Frank Yang later renamed Canworks—which was originally focused only on trash cans—to the more descriptive name Simplehuman. True to its name, the company began expanding its product line to include other innovative items for the bathroom and kitchen.
